Day 9: Advanced Canva Techniques: GIF Creation, Cut Outs, and Mockups
Creating GIFs
Once in Canva, select “Create a design” and choose “Animated Social Media”. A timer will display when you select an animated Social Media template, letting you specify exactly how long each picture needs to be. You can create slower or faster moving GIFs with this function. Duplicate the first frame when everything’s set up.
You want to move, adjust, or replace the graphics you want to animate in this second frame. To select the length of every slide, you can edit a timer at the top of both graphics. The smaller the time period is, the faster a graphic moves. Then make sure to select both pages before you download the finished image as a GIF. Press the spacebar to start playing it in your download folder.
Utilizing Cut Outs To Enhance Your Design
Leveraging cut-outs in Canva can significantly enhance your design by adding depth and creativity. To remove elements from your images, you can use the “Remove Background” button to create clean cuts.
Using these cuts in your designs gives you a variety of compositions, making it easier to layer elements and develop eye candy graphics. To achieve unique effects, try to be transparent and overlap in a way that makes your designs seem distinctive.
Creating Mockups On Canva
Creating mockups on Canva is a straightforward process that empowers users to visualize their designs realistically. Start by selecting the appropriate template for your project, whether it’s a website, app, or product mockup.
Customize the mockup by uploading your design elements and adjusting them to fit the template seamlessly. Canva’s drag-and-drop functionality simplifies the placement of graphics, text, and images, allowing for easy customization.
Canva makes it convenient to generate professional-looking mockups for presentations, pitches, or portfolio showcases.
